I worked with the standalone (v1) some years ago and liked it.
And I never tried LADSPA plugs. Now is the time....

Found one issue... drop mfx.x64.dll on shell2vst64.exe and it generates VSTs for the DX effects, not the MFX plugins...

THANKSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! You saved my day.
I was about to give up because no DXi Wrapper seemed to work with Synthfont in order to use the amazing Roland TTS-1 Synth, which is a DXi instrument, and thanks to you and your program I managed to make it work today!
I never knew this was possible.
Thanks!!!!!!!!! I would donate if I knew how.
Keep up the good work.

What's so amazing about the TTS-1? I installed it once and it sounded like the regular GM soundfont that comes with Windows.Sarcyan wrote:I was about to give up because no DXi Wrapper seemed to work with Synthfont in order to use the amazing Roland TTS-1 Synth

The Roland TTS-1 has a richness to its sounds, and while some of them aren't going to win any awards it sounds plenty fine, imho.VariKusBrainZ wrote:What planet do you live on? lolSarcyan wrote:amazing Roland TTS-1 Synth

I consider the TTS-1 a big improvement on the Virtual Sound Canvas Platform, with a excellent sound adding to this a very easy, straightforward tweak ability if you want to.
It is very easy to add a little reverb or chorus to a patch, or also to completely change the tone of an instrument if you want to.
For me the Roland TTS-1 synth (if purchased with Music Creator 6) is the best priced soft synth, very hassle free and cool for your music, and you have plenty of options to play with and interesting things to do.
Even if you are into professional music composition, the Roland TTS-1 has its purposes:
- it is a FANTASTIC starting point for a project to quickly sketch out your ideas, because it's fast and not a CPU hog.
- It is surprisingly effective and helps your creative workflow, imho.
- You can create incredible things with it if you use a little imagination. You can do far more than you might initially think.
I think it would be great to organize a contest to see how far creative people could reach with the Roland TTS-1.
They say necessity is the mother of invention, and trust me that it you needed it you have a very adaptable, rich instrument in your hands. It is very usable.
- It is an excellent all rounder to add to your music software. And has some unique and excellent sounds like the Acid Bass, or all the basses in general for that matter. (among some others)
- It can be edited in many many ways, it is quite interesting actually.
- a LOT of great music was made with an awful lot less than we have nowadays at our disposal. It's something that I always remember when I am using the Roland TTS-1.
Look at the great things this guy has achieved using it alone (he explains everything in great detail with brief text while the music plays):
"Crystallized Silver" Roland TTS-1 Remake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEVgbCP0YVQ&hd=1
"U.N. Owen Was Her?" Roland TTS-1 Remake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyxuuxUW2ZM&hd=1
And a good article about it:

Hi !
Thanks a lot to polac for his dx wrappers.
However, there seems to be a bug in the DX instrument wrapper (v1.04):
When I use the VST version of Roland/Edirol HyperCanvas (predecessor of Cakewalk TTS-1) in Seib's VSTHost, everything works fine.
When I use the DXi version of HyperCanvas with polac's DX intrument wrapper in VSTHost, MIDI program change commands dont get through, so I have to select instrument patches manually.
I have the same problem with TTS-1.
Can anyone confirm the problem ?
Do program change commands get through with other VST host applications or other DXi instruments ?
My first guess is that the DX wrapper somehow swallows the program change commands.
Version info:
Win Xp Pro 32bit SP3 En/US
Seibs VSTHost: v1.52
HyperCanvas: v1.53 (VST and DXi)
