Cubase 8.5 or 9 - reset and rescan plugins - how?

Thought as a troubleshotting thingy let Cubase 9 rescan, from a zero set of plugins.

Pressing the Reset arrow - but see nothing happends.
Press rescan - and dialog says zero new effects or instruments.

Sort of expect to show a number then, if it did a reset.

I mark another folder path, and press reset - and it shows on first line again - so something takes from pressing the button - but not sure what to expect. Manual does not clarify anything either in detail.

I tested 8.5 as well, nothing happends - but that one scan every startup as well so a bit different.

I get crashes everytime I exit using Waves plugin, so thought it just took most of what 8.5 done. Maybe something should be different.

Just to test some until Steinberg support gets back to me....any year now....
