Gave Samplitude some serious consideration and with the $199 deal
I spent additional time but in the end I will choose Sonar Platinum.

Samplitude
No Multi-touch capacity
My overlapping issue. Could Sound Forge do that perhaps?
No Patcher or Multi-Instruments type modular environment.
I have four other DAW's that are paid for that have ARA
multi-touch and overlapping clips and/or modular environment.

On the positive side
Love the objects
ARA

indeed - I was really close to Sonar as well - I think its a good product and I like the pricing and development trajectory.

I am now thinking on snagging the $199 deal.

Hope the 70 GB of samples can be used elsewhere.

It looks like the included Sound Forge Pro 11 can be used with other hosts.
edit: no 64-bit plugin support? is this true? This 2017!

Not sure what benefit "$400 upgrade discount" is.

X3 was released in Sept 2016 so there will be some free updates.

Please help me decide.

I feel ya. I almost allowed myself to succumb.

In the end, the best thing about FL is that unlike tracktion, it allows me to use my favorite vst's. Apparently, not only is samp not vst3 but it has issues with scanning and using some. I don't want to deal with that.

They can only be used with Independence within Samplitude.

I had the same problem with my DAWs.
On my setup I have asio for my DAWs to Pesonus Firebox to the Event Studio speakers.
I use the PC speakers for YouTube audio and both sets of speakers are functioning at the same time IIRC.

Of course I would not know about the coupon code before I pulled the trigger on this deal (which I only came to know about from kraznet on another thread here).
