When I click the disk icon to save it saves a fbx file in the folder but there's nothing in the folder of the preset browser.
Have no problem saving Ableton instrument presets but individual vst presets, cant do. Anyone the same?

If you save a preset using the little disk icon in Ableton Live, you have to access those presets using the little icon next to it (Hotswap Presets). This saves the preset to your User Library, and is listed in Live's browser.
This is not related to any presets the vst developer allows. To add presets to the preset list in the vst, you have to use whatever preset-save functionality the vst offers, if any.
On pages 244-245 of the Live manual, you can find more details about those two icons. In this part of the manual, it specifically refers to Live's native devices, but it works the same for vst's since it is Live's shell that is supplying those preset icons on the device.
