Glitchy audio behaviour

Hi. When I drag and drop an audio file (containing a drumloop) directly on to a track and then try to loop it it kind of drops out, loose tempo, jump over beats even though I have trimmed the bpm of mu to the bpm of the audio.
Am I doing something wrong here or...?

It could be the sample rate in the Audio Setup that's different than the audio file.

How does it sound when you mixdown this? (FILE menu -> mixdown)
Is the mixdowned version showing the same artifacts?

Hi.
The mixed down audio behaves the same. It behaves as if I had used a different bpm in the sequencer than in the loop and repeats hits in a stuttering way.
This behaviour doesn't occur when I put the sample in sampla though.

Then it must be a samplerate mismatch or something like that. Or maybe the tempo in the wavefilename is just not correct or something like that.
