Hello Mutools,
I was recording jazz on Mulab 3 and my tuplets sounded horrible.
I was depressed for 3 days, and then practiced, and started recording again.
My tuplets sound the SAME.
I doubleclicked on the sequence and realised that Mulab 3 automatically modified my playing to fit with the grid.
I wish I could undo this feature.
Thanks for your help.

Easy done. Sorry to hear that though It happened to me once but in my case I couldn't believe how precise I was!halfstep wrote:Hello Mutools,

Anyway, Right click on the Record Button and choose "SetUp Record Events" and select "No Grid".

And I guess you mean triplets rather than tuplets?

I have a feeling that Tuplet is the 'general' term (referring to when any type of unusual grouping of notes replaces a 'normal' grouping of notes).pljones wrote:And I guess you mean triplets rather than tuplets?
Triplet (eg 3 notes occupying the same duration as 2 normal notes) would be one of those types, and Quintuplet (eg 5 notes in the place of 4) would be another, and so on.
PS This is probably an over-simplification (!).

Ah, yes -- it's my programming background overriding my music sense!
