Hi :)

I'm trying to use my USB MIDI keyboard in mulab but I'm having trouble getting mulab to recognize it. When I open the MIDI setup interface mulab doesn't recognize my keyboard.

The keyboard I'm using is an Arturia Analog Experience The Player:

I'm using Mac OSX 10.7.5

If anyone could tell me how to get it working I would really appreciate it. Thank you! :)

Are you sure you have properly installed the Core MIDI driver?

How would I go about doing this? A google search turned up nothing for me.

I think you need to run the installation CD for that keyboard. If in doubt please ask the manufacturer of that keyboard i.e. Arturia.

Just double-checking: when you write "When I open the MIDI setup interface mulab doesn't recognize my keyboard." that means that you don't see the Arturia keyboard listed there, right? If yes, then indeed see my replies above. If you mean that you can see and select the keyboard but that you don't get MIDI input into MuLab, then please see http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... oting.html

Thank you for replying :)

I tried using MIDI Monitor (http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor (http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor)) with my Arturia keyboard to see if MIDI data was being sent to my Mac and it was. I also just tried using the keyboard with Garage Band and it works perfect. I'm not sure why mulab isn't recognizing it.

When I go into MIDI Setup in mulab the keyboard doesn't appear in the dropdown list. Is there another way to connect a keyboard to mulab? Is it possible that this keyboard just isn't compatible with mulab? There has to be something I'm missing here!

MuLab connects to Core MIDI and so any devices that is Core MIDI compatible should appear in the list. This is the first time i hear about such problem. I don't know what's going on... :?

The keyboard has MIDI out for which you can always use a MIDI cable to MIDI IN on your MIDI interface (if you have one). That always works, even with my old keyboards. I've tested two keyboards so far with ML.

However, in your case you should be able to use USB if driver is properly installed.
