Indeed great sounding covers using MuLab only would be a great thing

To make it more easy you can start from a MIDI file, then use great sounds for it, make an awesome mix, and eventually remix if you want to push the song into a new perspective and give it more personal touch. Enjoy making music

Okay, so I'm thinking of taking the bait. I need to first download the demo of mulab, then find a popular track that I'd want to remix which has a midi available, produce the track/remix it using stock fx and synths, then make a video of the track playing inside mulab, then post on youtube and make project file available. Is this about accurate? Can the demo save project files in mulab?

Yes sounds good, though you don't have to make a video of it, but it can help in spreading the track. Most important is a great sound and sharing the MuProject file.

Working on it, have few options open, some tunes are more fun than the others, spark way more creativity too, gonna work on few and one that get's most out of me and sounds most promising will get finished&polished

I have to admit, I've had the same trouble with "youface video"..

Might be, because I've managed to evade facebook entirely, yes, yes!

So, aside from all the funny exchanges and great youtube reminders of how and when the music industry took it's first massive dive, I was really hoping somebody was doing some already...

...ah well.

Anyway, the 80's were actually quite full of beautiful songs, well worth to being covered. I would do the same "challenge" also with computer game tunes, of course, just because it's almost guaranteed that they'll sound better in MuLab, hahaha... but, yeah.

If I don't see any youtube clip posted in the next few days, I will feel obligated to give it a go!

( I can always claim "I've lost a bet" or so)

how about popular goa trance? is there such a thing? well, I'll probably try to find a nice progressive trance trance that is very well known. Will let you know before I start after I find a good one. Cheers

How about the Dj Yahel vs Infected Mushroom song - For The People? I'm sure millions of people know that song? Will that work? There isn't a midi file for it online, but have already created it a while ago, pretty flawlessly.

Just saw the price of mulab. First, I'd consider raising that price a lot, 149 us sounds good. When it's so cheap people might not take it seriously. But wow, I shouldn't be complaining..

I want to swing some trance too, maybe some known epic trance number, 80s are cool, but this stuff just gives me massive boost in right place

Goosebumps, I could do ambient/chill mix or psytrance even, something in the middle, it just "that" theme that could work and it just get's deep inside of me

Alright, just trying to see what I have to work with before picking a track then grabbing the demo. I've always had my eye on mulab since its similar to the discontinued Orion Daw. Good chance to check it out now. Cheers
