Mac/OSX sampling rates

I understood that MuLab on Mac/OSX has no sampling rate configuration inside, but it directly relies on the system-defined sampling rate. So I tried to change the rate from the OSX Audio & MIDI Setup from 44.1 to 48 kHz but I noticed that the entire MuLab playback is frequency-shifted. Anybody else found same issue ? Am I doing anything wrong in the process ?

I tried your suggestion (quit & restart MuLab everytime I change the sampling rate)
and it works fine now. Thanks a lot!
