Is there any good sight reading tutorial software for the piano on a Mac?

Post

I don't think software can help you with sight reading, especially on the piano.
Piano is one of the easiest instruments to sight read on, however it can still feel like a lot to take in if you are just starting out.

My recommendation would be to learn to sight read ryhthm only first.
There's a small and cheap book on amazon for learning to sight read rythm that I really recommend.
Once you've gone through it, pick up a beginner Piano method and start sight reading the tunes at VERY SLOW tempo, with a click ( always )

So in short the key is to start simple and slow to and go up in complexity progressively. But IMO any software would be a waste of time and money here.

If you really want to get a handle on sight reading you need a teacher. I learned alot about sight reading from books but it was a waste of time compared to what I learned with instruction. It took me longer to unlearn bad practices then it would have to learn right the first time.
