what goes into a good melody?

Chords, scales, harmony, melody, etc.

And when looking at sheet music and seeing the notes as consisting of combinations of flatline, rises, falls, and wavey patterns useful or potentially limiting?
Add to the original melody using the original melody is what I would experiment with.
First find out if the original melody is to known scale, then go from there.
This video just shows a single arp setting and chord trigger setting, but it's a starting point to get ideas.

A lot of people say they enjoy my melodies, and I tend towards contrasting singable, step-wise phrases with odd leaps. Sort of like a singing robot that's either malfunctioning, or undergoing some kind of mental trauma :hihi: If you make a pattern out of the irregularities, rather than having them strewn about randomly, it makes the melody fun to second-guess and think along to.

I wasn't expecting someone to show a video of my melody and 'share' it on google plus but rather comment on it on the forums... the melody I gave wasn't just a random example it's actually from a current project of mine and I'm slightly uncomfortable about the context not being given in the description or at least a reference to me who owns the melody or a link to the post/my soundcloud; with your purpose to promote one of your products.

edit: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4#p5980874 is the type of response I was looking for.

I've deleted the video.
Next time I'll use my own melody as an example.
Again, I apologize for that.

Thank you. I hope I didn't come off as a bitch :s

I probably shouldn't of put up a pic of the notes and just left the audio to avoid confusion, but figured I would get better input that way.

No you didn't. :D
The only reason I posted on my YouTube channel is because you can't post video on this forum.
I should have at least made a reference to you in that video as well. I didn't think about that.

I did post another video of my own melody showing what I still believe, that you can find a hidden second melody once you find a scale/key combination.
