I was watching Drumazon, but like quite a few of the free ones (ersdrums; Drumatic), which sound great to me. I'm seeing a lot of $30-$50 Synthedit machines. Is anyone using the Angular 10-track? I would have loved to snag the Linplug freebie (for the mag).

Now, I'm wishing I was using RM IV, but I'm a Battery user. Unalike, RM IV, Battery 1 does not convert into a hybrid drum synth. (Now, I am seeing what a big part of all the Rm fuss was all about- great idea!)

dr008 is the boss app than battery as battery catches up., rmiv is king on it's own for complexity stackable/flexible direction...

freebies are drumatic3/and drumstrip for quick drum design and simplicty...

bfd is said to be a good buy, but i won't buy due to proprietary sound blocks...

looking for the sp12 vsti to be relased from one of our kvr-heads....

K...prolly need to check this, although I'm just not a big fan of the classic drum machine method(s) of programming.

Yeah, drumatic keeps getting better, and it's already a player. Although, I found ersdrums to be really nice!

SP12 is intriguing. However, with some good Fx processing, one can prolly get away with most of these and come off just as well with one or the other. The drumatic tones were pretty outstanding...maybe it was the preset that I happened to land on? Perhaps, it's because e-phonic has been making that thing for a while and just offers a great device as a generous service?

PTV already mentioned odo's livetweaker (which I've barely even scratched the surface of experimenting on...

)you might want to check out Drumular very nice zoning and stacking capability...and you can zone and stack the extremely cool monobass module that is included as well...way cool stuff

and if you're in the mood for something a little more unusual, give ugo's Ironhead a try...you'll find it's quite addictive

I like ersdrums too. If you don't like traditional drm mach.s, you probably won't like drumsource. You're right on the SP-12 sound which can be achieved with filters and bitcrushing even in the livetweaker.

PTV,
I'm liking the livetweaker for quik wits...it's like the ReDrum in Reason without individual outputs, but the synth/fx page makes up for that.

It will not be a 909 emu. 808 though, yes.
