You know, I've been searching for a filter (hardware or software)that fits the following spec, but can't find one. I'm sure more people than just me would find such a filter useful...
OK, this filter has just 2 knobs: resonance & cut-off frequency. The resonance knob is the usual type, but the cut-off knob is where things are a little different. At the 12 O'clock position, it's neutral and does nothing. Turning clockwise engages the high-pass filter and brings the cut-off freq up through the frequency range. Anti-clockwise from the 12 O'clock position engages the low-pass filter and brings the cut-off freq down through the frequency range. Not only would this be a great one-stop-filter-shop for production purposes, it'd make an awesome performance tool. |

Just throw this together: http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/Christian.Budde/QR.zip
+ fixed 18dB filter + Q and Frequency adjustable + simple interface + about 0.5% CPU usage - still some problems near the 0 settings. Have fun, Christian |

How about this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chebyshev_filter sort of a joke I guess, but hey, I figured I try and seize the opportunity. ---- "You are going to let the fear of poverty govern your life and your reward will be that you will eat, but you will not live." |

The only thing that the vst programmers do is stop creating bugs and start fxing the problems they have on previous products. I was running cubase vst 5.1 and it crashes. Its when I'm working in audio and when in the wave editor using one of the options like sissors or a draw option. Once I click on the wave to edit, all of a sudden, the program crashes. Making me losing my work. Thats what they should be doing :smack: |

Either you're in the wrong thread or I'm on the wrong plane, because this makes no sense. |
