Sometimes i like my synth sounds to be really wide....at the moment i use the widening effect in my predatohm distortion which works really really well...problem is i dont want everything to be distorted...sooooooo is there any stereo widener plugin that works as well as the predatohm but just does widening?
BASICALLY: What are the best stereo enhancers or wideners for synths?
Im on a pc....thanks!

kILL-O-RAMA. It's simple and it works. Just check the "Invert Left Channel" LED and you're set for the widest stereo in town. Or you could just use my little killerz, instead of the overpriced krap you are probably using now, because the newer ones all have that feature and a second widening mode that uses a short delay in one channel. Combining both modes often gets interesting results. As always, link's in the sig.

+ 1 for this one. I've found that most stereo wideners have a tendency to really f**k up your mix. The Sheppi is a fantastic tool for getting a convincing widening effect without tearing your mix to shreds. The Voxengo is good, as well, but it needs a very subtle and careful touch.Cordelia wrote:Sheppi Spatial Enhancer- it's free.

Of course, You could always just double your track, pan them to opposite sides, and use some subtle EQ and filtering to get the sound you want...

There is also a function for this in SPL Vitalizer. Chicane uses this for his pads (but probably the hardware vitalizer)
