Hey guys, In the following clips theres this technique being used and I cannot figure out for the life of me what it is.

It sounds like they sampled the synth and they sort of 'played' the sound in, but the notes don't really sound the same? I don't really know how to describe it's best to just hear it:

It's a sample being played and pitch bent.

Nah i'm not talking about the pitch bend in the first track, I'm talking about the choppy attacks

In your 3rd example, the bass at 40 seconds is just played in that way. I don't think it's a gating trick or anything.

Choose the right sound, apply som filter and PLAY that way. Record it on a slow bpm and quantize to 1/24 will get the "effect"
