All,

Anyone have an idea how to re-create this sound that is used in Armin's remix of Human by The Killers?

The sound fades in at 0:44 and is very prominent at 1:10 and ends at 1:28.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

That sounds like a stringsound going through a distortion, and then a gate effect. And additional fx sends, chorus, delay, reverb etc.

ParadoxUn says string sound...I agree and think a distorted guitar could make that sound. (or a synth guitar sound.)
