just took the boys over the cemetary across the road, snow is good, but no big inclines, so had to push/pull most of the way they got cold and wet and came home, lightweights |

I have just spent the last 2 1/2 hours clearing the snow outside and it was actually 6-7" deep. |

50°+ again today, weatheridiot is on the news now (well technically 40 minutes ago, who lives in real time these days) saying "but how much longer will this unwinter like weather last? HEY EINSTIEN, IT LASTED THROUGH NOV, DEC, JAN, NOW WE ARE A WEEK INTO FEB AND YOU KEEP ASKING HOW LONG WILL IT LAST...DOES IT MATTER? Seriously, for the last few weeks they getting excited about 2" of snow, temps in the 30s and oooooh windchills (not today).
My latest prediction, one decent storm (6" or more snow) either this month or early next month and we will get hit with a major springtime blizzard surprise as early as the last week of March or as late as the first week of May..in fact in April Fenway park turns 100 years old, I forget the date but in April they are having a big celebration...I think it is more likely than not that the celebration will either be threatened by snow (like missing by a day or two but keeping everyone guessing) or be postponed due to snow FWIW my forecasts are based on prior years, my gut and Murphy's law (which I think sees more instances of weather related issues making things go wrong than any other single thing) ---- I never learned anything from being right Hink 2012 RIP Reason L. and Ian B |

We still haven't seen any winter yet. I'm wondering if we'll get any at all - don't think it's fallen below freezing at all during the day so far, and I think we've barely had any days that have dropped into the 30s. |

A widespread, locally severe frost to start the day. Much of the region will see plenty of sunshine, although perhaps a little more cloud further east. Very cold everywhere, with temperatures remaining below freezing over high ground. |

A couple of days ago it was close to 50°F.
Today it got to 32°F. Still not bad, considering that it's February in Minnesota. ---- "Be excellent to each other." Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

Turning out to be a bit of a disappointing summer, after a reasonable spring. Had plenty of sun today - had breakfast outside after work and needed the sun block, but we've had more overcast days. The dew on the lawn didn't dry out until maybe 10am (usually it'd be stinking hot by 9am in Feb). Even when it's blue, it's not been much over 23 or 24. Haven't had the lid off the car much at all this year. I finish work tomorrow am and am on holiday for 2 weeks - going to head to the far north, so it should be hotter up there (it's about 1000km up to Northland from here). Looking forward to loafing on a beach. I'll need to depilate to shine up my pecs with sun oil...although my missus mistakenly calls them moobs rather than pecs. |

Surprise snowstorm. An hour ago I was in the park walking in not-very-cold light rain. Go figure.
[edit] And here come the lightning and thunder. BAM. Current temperature: 46 degrees F. |
