Just a shoutout to these guys:

http://puremagnetik.com/

Their products are stupid cheap, high-quality, cover lots of ground the "other guys" don't, are available in a variety of formats, and totally inspirational.

This is the Solina sample, available in the String Machines pack (which is $12!), along with the ubiquitous ValhallaRoom reverb and UberMod (also available at frankly ridiculous prices). One patch, nothing but a limiter on the master. Love this sound :D

they do make some great stuff. I also appreciate that they make EXS and do really good channel strip settings for all of their stuff.

their string suit is in the weirder things, and they have some interesting drum stuff. i also got a vocal pack from them that I have actually used quite a few times, and some interesting bass sounds.
