ver' nice ... some of your demos have a zappaesque 'g-spot tornado ' feel to them ... ----

You know, I'm familiar with Zappa, I like Zappa, but G-spot tornado is a new one to me. It sounds good though, definitely better than jazz discharge party hats or voodoo butter underpants. |

Why copy a legendary synth name? |

Chroma is Greek for color, which is what I had in mind. Actually I thought I'd be accused of stealing the name of a legendary web browser. Anyhow it's the sequencer that's named Chroma, because of the way pitch and velocity changes are represented by different colors. The synth part is called Gris-Gris. |

As a little bonus for Konkreet users, I've reskinned and refreshed my poly theremin ensemble, with some features from the Chroma sequencer.
Here's what it sounds like: https://soundcloud.com/peterdines/konkreet-poly-theremin And here's what it looks like:
Get it here! |

Oooh, THIS is too cool!!! Thank you.
Been meaning to pick-up Konkreet (just got an iPad (1st gen), and Loupe and Mirage also. I'll note this, for when I return home. ... glad I was wearing my foil hat, when I listened to the theremin demo. ---- Perception is the ultimate "reality" ~ but not, the ultimate Truth. |

does it send midi out? Which, Chroma or the theremin? Chroma sends MIDI out, you can control other synths from it, but the theremin doesn't - it's a sound generator only. However it would be quite easy to add a note out module to the theremin. I'll have to try that. Would be interesting to send MIDI from it to something that supports glide, like Synth Squad or Massive, and play them in a thereminious manner. (is that a word?) |

2 days left in the Konkreet Performer half price sale!
http://konkreetlabs.com/2012/12/05/kpreaktorsale/ There are other ways of using Chroma, and other ways of using an iPad, but my goodness this one is stylish and fun! |
