I also got a reply saying they believe it to be a de-normal problem and will fix it soon - without removing the nice sound quality I hope.

EDIT: may not be denormal, I misunderstood the comment in my email.

Hi,

I don't have any obvious problems with TT 1.5.1.0 on Window 8/Cubase 7, all x64.

Well, the Power-LED doesn't do anything on click, but if even if it's supposed to do I don't care.

Shouldn't a de-normal issue rather be general? Now I'm sort of Question

Cheers,
LiteOn

Well, I'm using a 32bit host (Ableton), so that might make a difference. Don't know enough about coding (read: zilch, basically) to say yay or nay.

I also got a prompt reply today. Unfortunately I forgot to check out the plugin at the studio. Was too busy so I have no idea if it's a 32bit vs 64bit issue. Oh well, I'll try to remember tomorrow.

Cheers!

Not sure it'd help.. don't have a connection to the net on the studio computer. Well, we do but it's mainly turned off. Used only for plugin updates and such. Very Happy

update: i updated my earlier denormal post, it may not be that, too early to tell. they are in the 'trying to understand' the problem stage - my words. I'll let them take it from here and just wait for the release. Soon i hope...

Interesting, 1.5.1 of TwinTube does NOT have the same CPU spike problem on my studio computer. This is also an intel system (i7 920) but it's running Windows 64bit instead of 32bit.

I need to do some more testing but at least at first it doesn't seem to have any issues with CPU spikes.

Mute/power button still doesn't work though.

Cheers!

That's almost my setup: i7 920 (at 3.6 GHz), Windows 8 x64.
Your host is x64 on your studio machine, isn't it?

Coul be really an issue of the x86 version only.

The Maag is quite interesting

This is "flat", just inserting it does this:

This is some boosting.

It interesting doing this live as you see how the entire curve changes each time you boost or cut.

If I were to move one or more of these controls this curve would come out very different.

I like it, for now though I am undecided if its needed, but today it was a huge help in a project I am working on, but then again once you know what it's doing perhaps you can just approximate it with another EQ.

How do you like the Maag compared to the DDMF 6144? Just curious.

It isn't supposed to be a flat eq. Also, it's mentioned as a "sculpting" eq in one of those viddys. It's not and was never designed to be surgical.
