For anyone interested...

All of the electric guitars were done with Electri6ity, of course.

First post here...i've been using electri6ity for some time, and i must say taht im still light years away from what progtronic has done...even thought i dont like too much the style (and the sound of the drums), the guitars sound amazing. Congratulations for achieving that.

Thanks for checking it out.Rolaxius wrote:First post here...i've been using electri6ity for some time, and i must say taht im still light years away from what progtronic has done...even thought i dont like too much the style (and the sound of the drums), the guitars sound amazing. And, yeah.. the style definitely isn't for everyone. Tracks are typically chopped and tightly sequenced along with drum triggering and replacement for that mechanical sound.
I just sorta skip all that by doing everything electronically from the start..

I thought I would let anyone interested that I'm thinking of selling Electri6ity and if I get any reasonable offers I'll check to see if I can release it from my NI account.

Can someone tell me if they have used or have an audio sample of Electri6ity as a Reggae Rhythm guitar for skanks/chucks/chops?
Most of the examples are Heavy Metal Lead guitars. It sounds great, but thats not have I'm after. I need a Percussive chuck-chuck sound. Like these.
thanks

So, will there ever be anymore updates to this virtual instrument, or does VIR2 consider it to be perfect as-is with v1.1?
Also, I am a Sonar user and was wondering if there are other Sonar/Electri6ity users who can describe to me the best way to tame the latency between Sonar and Electri6ity. Thank you in advance for any help that you may provide.

I don't know what amp sim you're using, if any, but Amplitube used to add about half a second of latency for me with Electri6ity.
I'm not in Sonar, though. This was with Sony ACID Pro 7 and Cubase.
I don't seem that have that issue with Shreddage 2.

There's a latency setting in the menu somewhere, that is for the chord recognition engine. If you find that, you should be able to set a negative track delay for the same amount so it plays in sync with your other tracks.

I'm not sure how the chord detection affects latency.. but I know that setting up a long pre-pick noise is what seems to add the most.
I had problems with Sonar 8.5, in that the offset timing was calculated differently than most other DAWs. I just had to set it by ear.
With Studio One, however.. the suggested offset numbers in Electri6ity are spot on.
