So where are they?

Kontakt instruments are ubiquitous, but I can't seem to find any third-party instruments for HALion.

Do they exist?

Obviously HALion doesn't have enough of an uptake to be interesting to 3rd party developers, because as you said, Kontakt is ubiquitous.

That's what I was afraid of.

And HALion won't import scripted Kontakt libraries, either, will it?

Of course not, nothing can do that except Kontakt.

Steinberg should make their sample product available as a kontakt library hosted inside a sub host that makes available all their other goodies.

Right, and make then Cubase a VST/AU plugin that can be run in Reaper...
