hi! Following problem:

If I start the playback it first sounds good, no matter where I start. However after some seconds it starts to play the notes inaccurate. The problem disappears when I solo the track (I used four tracks all using DSK Brass). Then it works fine in playback and mixdown. Whenever there are more tracks active both playback and mixdown have this problem :(

In an other session with four tracks and the same setup there were no such problem... really strange!

By the way, Mulab extremly often crashes at playback or loading a session! Maybe it's the vst plugin...

Any suggestions how to fix this problem?

Thanks, Johannes

System:
Mulab Free 32bit (Windows7)
DSK Brass Vst

In order to know whether this problem is caused by a VST: Try to do everything with MuLab only, no VSTs. Then if the problem is still there then please let me know what exact steps i must take so to repeat the problem, then i'll research that.

Thanks for the fast answer!
Ok, it's the VST that causes the problems! With tools only from Mulab it works fine. Then I tried another VST instrument, no problems here, too.
Btw, now that there are no crashes anymore: Mulab is awesome! :)

On a related note, when mixing down in studio quality, there are occasionally high-frequency pops, standard quality mixdowns are flawless, though. And no, the volume levels I am using are not too high, far from it...

Mixdown settings don't have anything to do with ASIO sound card settings, right? Just wondering...

I think Mixcraft has implemented the mixdown process nicely. One can choose the target format, including mp3, and then set the specific quality settings for that format. One of the few things I love about Mixcraft... I don't have to mixdown to wav and then convert to mp3 in an external application such as Lame Front-End.
Nor is there any noise such as pops.

Not the bitdepth. Samplerate of the mixed file is current audio driver samplerate.
