Development Diary: wrote the last features today that were needed to simulate a 1985 synthesizer such as my old Korg DW-8000:
-- monophonic with retrigger or legato (then wasted an hour playing funky bass lines. Keys being held down go in a LIFO queue as you play them, then unwind correctly, so you can get all the multi-note trills you love. Took some thinking to get it written right but worked first time for some reason.
-- unison mode (voice# is just another patch variable you can use for old-fashioned detuning, or anything else you'd like) (works on polyphonic mode too)
-- polyphonic with voice limit (not sure the utility on modern synth software but it was easy.)
-- white noise, pink noise

Hi Mystran,mystran wrote:Can't really judge what's on your Facebook page because.. well.. it doesn't work without Facebook account, and I got rid of mine years ago. Sorry.
I've put together a forum for Moselle. These pictures should be visible without needing to make an account. Let me know if they're not.

This one works. The forum is configured to not show attachments unless people are logged in.Swiss Frank wrote:Thanks Arakula.arakula wrote:They are not.

Is the block-diagram actual GUI graphics, or just for documentation purposes?

Thanks for checking Mystran. I haven't found a "show to non-members" option and will see what Invision says, but honestly the gallery feature seems to meet my needs.mystran wrote:This one works. The forum is configured to not show attachments unless people are logged in.
Now that you see the screen shots, I imagine they're boring enough you don't have any actual comment or feedback As Frantz says, really hearing the sound is more interesting, although theoretically at least this first release isn't about the sound quality (or windows), its about the language itself.

There's been some movement on this; http://moselle.invisionzone.com/index.p ... a-release/
You need to register to download, and it's worth bearing in mind it's still available as a standalone in beta. And note;

This version needs an extremely fast CPU, but number of cores isn't important. Memory and disk space are not important either.

Note that Moselle is not free software. While there is no charge, feedback on the Q&A forum is requested.

Thanks Bob! In fact here's a new release.
Version 0.1.3 of Moselle IDE is now released and available for download at:
http://moselle.invisionzone.com/index.p ... a-release/
Moselle IDE is a standalone music synthesizer for Windows, that can be programmed in a special "modular synthesizer programming language" called Moselle. Hook up a MIDI keyboard to your computer, and MoselleIDE will play music out your speakers. For more basic details, please follow the above link.
