The original Total Recall. I prefer this one to the remake.
Arnold looks so young, and Mars looks too red.

Looper. Pacing is a bit uneven, great nevertheless.

saw a film called "stitches" at a friends.
we were expecting something along the lines of "so bad its good"
but it was actually brilliant.
stars ross noble as a zombie clown avenging his death at a kids party.
some great deaths, definitely worth watching.

It wasn't that good. Just surprised someone is watching it.

Top Gun - One of those films I never bothered with at the time. Quite rightly so; awful, shallow nonsense.

Burke & Hare - Amusing in parts.

Wrong from the get go. They say "CDC Atlanta" and flash to a shot of the Atlanta skyline. The CDC's administrative campus is located just on the edge of Atlanta proper in a suburban/industrial zone - right smack dab in the middle of the Vietnamese district. We eat dinner at Pho 24 right outside the gates. You can see it from the road.

It is NOT where their hot labs are. That's secret.

And ALL the characters are simply cutouts from other sci-fi/dramatic series, with their requisite baggage (and looks), simply plopped in. THIS one is Joe Flaherty from SGA, THIS one is Major Carter from SG, THIS one is the evil corporate scientist from a dozen cheapo scifi thrillers. And THIS one is Abby from CSI.

I don't know what I was more embarrassed for them of. The badly CGI's rats or the worse CGI monkey...
