Yes, I know those two formats are the standard, Ingo.
Tal's Noisemaker also uses a proprietary format, name.noisemakerpreset But at least it has its internal patch manager so I can decide where to save my patches. That is a little better as I can give them meaningful names and share them with other Noisemaker users.

Just had a look which host could have problems with fxp files. Just found Mixcraft 6 which only seems to load fxb files.
As i am sorting all OBXD patches into banks you could still be able to load the bank files so no need to "discard" OBXD even if you want to keep your current DAW.
Another option is to use the preset manager in Tobybear MiniHost to create your own fxb files that you then could load into your host:

Yes, that is the one, I guess I have already mentioned it in another thread. But really, I don't want people to think it is bad as in reality it quite good and a bargain at that, comes with many useful instrument samples, lots of synth and effect plugins including iZotope Mastering stuff, TB effects, etc. Not the best or latest of anything, but solid stuff for non-pros like me who want to make music quickly without spending too much time on programming and configuring.Ingonator wrote:Just had a look which host could have problems with fxp files. since your on the .fxp/.fxb topic i'd like to mention that EnergyXT 1.41 and 2.7 both crash when attempting to load .fxb's. It would be pretty easy to dismiss these hosts as obsolete but XT 1.41 is my go to drag an drop dll test bed.
Obxd seems fine in Reaper.

Maybe you can use Zen patchmanager inside your DAWfluffy_little_something wrote: Yes, that is the one
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

A-ha! That's what you've been up to! Sounds great (though using FX is cheating... )
But it sounds a little "heavy" for water drops though... could be... um... if there ever was a case for a high pass on the output...
