Hi All,
I want to run resolume and up to 6 screens at once.
I see that most folks are using the HD 5870.

does anyone here have experience with anything else?
Thanks

It's not rocket science, open your PC swap out card out, install drivers, plug in monitors.
Looks like you found one that has 6 hdmi ports which makes it nice and easy.
The real question is, why do you need/wasn't 6 screens? You a bond trader?

if you're on a recent intel box with hd3000/hd4000 other option is a 'simple' 4 head card (nvidia quadro or any of the current gen ATI cards with 4 outputs) , plus two monitors off the onboard video. Works well

I'm thinking that resolume can only access one card. I'll have to dig and get some more info.jdnz wrote:if you're on a recent intel box with hd3000/hd4000 other option is a 'simple' 4 head card (nvidia quadro or any of the current gen ATI cards with 4 outputs) , plus two monitors off the onboard video. Thanks for the help. I should look into a 4 monitor option.
I want to use these as media for shows...

One thing I don't understand...
Should this card be able to Support 4 different monitors, each with their own image at the same time?
It has 4 outputs, biput I don't know if they all work independent of each other

( i like the 7750 myself - lower psu load as well as lower price )
Hd5870 is really getting kind of old now
There is the matrox 8 head as well - given it's a matrox expect the price to be insane

Eyefinity gives you the option to treat all the displays as one massive screen ( handy for things that only support singlehead ) but if you turn it off each screen is handled independantly ( like normal multi monitor desktop on windows )dusted william wrote:One thing I don't understand...

Bigger question is how resolume handles multihead - you may have to run eyefinity mode if it's not mh savy

Id hate to try that on low latency as well. The card will hog the bus and cause pops n clicks.

EDIT
ah, never mind, should have looked at time stamps, I see this was posted a month ago and someone just committed necromancy on a dead thread.
