http://midithru.net/Home/AsioLink , what it does is route any windows audio into an asio daw, either for recording or for listening only and won't be recorded, or out of an asio daw and into windows, like into a webcam.
I've used it since 1.0, and am currently using 1.1, the newest one is 1.4, I've got it, but don't feel like putting my machine through unnecessary uninstalls for features I don't use.

Hi Run and All,
Just wanted to let you know that v1.0 has known issues with drop outs on the WDM stream. The timing algorithm was re-written in v1.2 and v1.4 has no dropouts at all. It isn't that much more expensive on the processor either though the multiclient support is definitely best with more than one core in your processor.
This is why v1.0 is unsupported.
Enjoy!

Ok, that's useful info. I haven't had any problems so far. I use it daily, seeing my physical playing helps me to write the next part of the song, so I record it w/a webcam.

Hello!
I'm looking for a free version of Asio Link driver. It can be even version 1.0. Does anyone still have the old installation package? I don't want to spend 50$ for features I don't need. I just want to be able to listen to youtube while playing VIs in PtoTools First

Why would you need a separate application to be able to run your DAW while listening (watching) YouTube videos? Isn't there a setting for running the audio driver in exclusive mode, or not, in ProTools?rafat1987 wrote:Hello!
