Hey, just wondering what other sites you visit to post your music and listen to others', or just talk about music (production/gear to a lesser degree, i find that abundantly well covered here).
What i like most about these forums is the average age, which seems to be well above 30. found that sorta intimidating when i joined at the wee age of 19, but now i can appreciate how people are generally a little more chilled when opinions and egos clash. Really, regardless of all the bullshit you read on here, KVR is a pretty damn mature place by internet standards, and pretty fun at times too.
hardly visit here for the main function of the site anymore though. don't really need more gear, quite the opposite, i carefully sized down my samples and plugin amount to not be spoilt for choices.
So visiting KVR these days involves steering clear of a big chunk of the subforums for me. Done with gearlust!
Still quite like the place, but probably should start looking for other music forums as well.
Suggestions? I enjoy and dabble in a pretty large variety of styles, though at the moment enjoy funk/jazz stuff the most. Also like electronic music of the more adventurous kind...basically i'd really enjoy communities with a good number of musicians on the somewhat experimental/fusion side, without being too academic or snobbish about it.
But anyway, just feel free to talk about any other music related forums you visit. I'd like to get a better picture of what else is out there.

I forgot, I look at the S1 forums as well, but I wouldn't post there...

Not so much a forum but my other goto music tech site is http://www.sonicstate.com/ I watch the sonictalk video podcast every week without fail.
SonicState is an invaluable resource for up to the minute news and in depth reviews on music technology.

Just make the music that you enjoy (failing that go for a walk, watch some porn, have a fight with a random bloke until something else happens).

I used to frequent sonicstate (love the videos on youtube) MusicRadar and Gearsluts not that I did much posting.
Mostly it's here or http://songstuff.com
Songstuff is primarily focused on singer/songwriter. (of which I'm neither)

The only other one that i go to often is GearSluts. Used to go to MusicRadar, but since the conversation about getting the CM plugins updated ended with "not going to happen", i stopped checking the forum i don't have accounts at any other forums than these.

Gearslutz... they catch more the studio people and some big names, so there are often different views on things (must not be better or more valid but... it's different )

So, mostly production related forums so far...my guess was most have kvr for that, then other places beside that for muso talk/theory, and places that cover their particular music niche best...mayb i was wrong heh!
