To expand a bit on BlueArp vs Kirnu, my experience is that Blue Arp is still somewhat buggy, at least in Studio One, but well on its way to becoming the king shiznit of all manners arpeggiation and step sequencing. It can even sequence chords. Use it to drive one of the many free VA synths into one of the many free tube amp fx and you've got an ITB Electribe. Kirnu is more limited, as its strictly an arpeggiator, but it seems more solid, has a prettier, more compact UI, and is very useful. I used both on my last OSC track.

It must be DAW related, 'cause my experience is quite the opposite - Blue is solid as a rock in FL Studio, while Kirnu was a bit buggy (as pretty much all the other freeware arps I've tried). So best thing to do is download & test them all and see what works best swith your setuppsmacmur wrote:To expand a bit on BlueArp vs Kirnu, my experience is that Blue Arp is still somewhat buggy, at least in Studio One, but well on its way to becoming the king shiznit of all manners arpeggiation and step sequencing. You can visit the Blue Arp topic and ask the dev directly, but from what he has already posted it seems a good portion of the plugin was ported and he's currently looking for testers - so maybe you can help if you have the timepdxindy wrote: ETA?

I quite agree that BlueARP is versatile, but Kirnu is no slouch either and certainly not just a strict arpeggiator. The whole lower part of the UI is dedicated to a pattern editor which has similar features to what is in BlueARP. Actually, apart from the good input filtering, what feature is Kirnu missing that BlueARP has?psmacmur wrote:Kirnu is more limited, as its strictly an arpeggiator
Being free or donationware hardly a king make, or then we have two.

On this page, you've got several arpeggiator and sequencer. They are VST2.3 for Windows, not updated anymore, but free.
