It's easier to see how everything should work with GClip VST

Does very well, nice extra large knobs, low cpu. Lol at first I was like where's the clipping, I turned the clip knob to the left, thinking I'm bringing the clip threshold down, so left would work but on this it's rather to the right.

A few things about the AU version, didn't check the others:
* The big CLIP knob doesn't go completely to to the left, it "hangs" over the first dot of the scale.
* All knobs are "stepped", probably too few animation frames, and they snap to positions "between dots".
* Clipping turned up fully to the right hard-limits at -20.0 dBfs and Output gain only goes up to +6.0 dB. So at full clipping it's basically impossible to go over an output of -14.0 dBfs.
You should make the Output go up to +20.0 dB to make up for the clipping loss.
* Input gain also maxes out at +6.0 dB, which might be a little "tame" for some applications.
* Some value readouts for reference would be great, at the moment it's just a guessing game with the host's peak meters.
To be honest... while I love your other plugins (just added BassGrinder to GrindMachine), this one doesn't trigger me. I'd like an "easy" clipper, quick to set up with few controls, just to level DI tracks with, but this one is somehow just too harsh and aggressive for that task. Made my guitar bus fizzy, also made my drums rather distortedly thin than louder.

I don't work here, I just feed the trolls.

Be careful with hyper-loudness, otherwise the whole club will collapse!lacandon wrote:Love this clipper it helps me to master hyper louder without distortion -6 rms without problems good stuff guys thanks !

Thats the point hehe i tried other clippers but they do that annoying distortion this one is a bit more discrete and helps the limiter to don't work that hard with right settings added does great job ! Uad Precision maximiser the only one i usually liked to squash things but makes low end un natural to my taste this one is my fav now!Tricky-Loops wrote:Be careful with hyper-loudness, otherwise the whole club will collapse!lacandon wrote:Love this clipper it helps me to master hyper louder without distortion -6 rms without problems good stuff guys thanks !
