Pardon my ignorance on the topic, but except for Reason, is there other contemporary software that load and plays REX2 files for music production (not just file conversion)? I vaguely remember a VSTi that could load the old REX (mono) files from izotope, but I think it's dead now. Any ideas?

Kontakt, Halion, Battery, Cubase, and, I believe, most modern DAWs will load and play REX2 files.

You are remembering Phatmatic Pro, sadly now abandoned

FXpansion Geist also loads Rex files. I think Arturia Spark 2.0 does too. Studio One will load them straight into the timeline.

Wow, I never thought so many softwares could load REX2 files! I'm definitely going to convert my libraries into this format. Thanks!

Stylus RMX also. In there, you can manipulate the time signature as well as other attributes. Lots of fun.

What software can load REX2 files?
