It's a Soundfont so you need a sampler/player capable of loading Soundfonts. This one will get you started http://www.kvraudio.com/get/769.htmlCoolredguitar wrote:I am not too versed on drumkits etc etc..Stupid question here, how do I go about installing this kit and using it? I downloaded this but see no way to use the file as a plugin and do not see any installer program for it. Any advise is much appreciated.

It is a soundfont, you need to uncompress the sfark file first then use a SF player.

Thanks Hellbilly and Spyro. I downloaded the soundfont player from RGC and am going about sorting this thing out, noticed that it did not work in Tracktion as it said not enough memory when loading the drum file. When using Magix Audio Studio as a host everything loads but no sound....some homework goin on here.
Thanks again

There's a button next to the filename in sfz. You want it to say "DFD" - it probably says "SF32" to start with. Click it until it says "DFD" then load the file.

Changed the download link on this as it was getting direct links to the file and not the post - samples cannot be remote linked - only the link to the thread (post)

Spe3D - when I tried the link to the thread, it asked me to log in. Is that right?
In other news... I've finally done the remaining kits in sfz format. Actually, I redid all the kits using the latest (085) version of Steve Holt's sfZed. (My reformatter is now a lot simpler - albeit more intelligent - with the new version.) For Geoff's mappings, I've kept the ampeg_release (rather than switching to count=1). My alternate mappings are unchanged (there was no benefit). Filenames have been altered, too...
Get them here.

Yes I moved them into ‘the Very Large File’ section as it is bigger than most other samples and fonts at the Auditorium – however there are the fonts and samples that you can get without going into the large file section by geoff, they are in the sound fonts and samples section – no need to register with the site to download them.pljones wrote:Spe3D - when I tried the link to the thread, it asked me to log in. To access the bigger files – or files that keep getting remote linked – you need to register with the site and the Very Large File section will then open up to you

Downloaded it today and this is worthy of a BUMP!
Didn't have problems with the zip either (OSX, Opera, default unzip thingy wouldn't work but Stuffit did the trick)
Those are some of the best drum multisamples I've grabbed so far, nice one GregJaaath and mates
Still up after more than year, not bad for interweb standards!

There's anyone liking to share this kit via Dropbox or similar?
I can't download anything from that site, that keeps liyng about 100 slots and not having one free.
