And you even admit that you don't have them all!

You better be taking requests!

But seriously -- very impressive list. The motherlode of all references.

I had totally renounced to categorize my plugins!
Image

For my discontinued plugins I just have in Winword a personal alphabetical ordered list with:
  1. the name of the plugin
  2. the name of the developer
  3. the checkbox "instruments" and an optional sub checkbox "emulation/inspiration"
  4. the checkbox "effects"
  5. the checkbox "tools"
  6. a field "last update" accompanied by a checkbox "freeware"
  7. and the ability to put up to two or three pictures just to see at a glance when I browse my list
A more precise categorization... I have totally renounced. It was a total mess!

Seeking some advice as regards to a VCS clone, found on this page here - http://blog.wavosaur.com/free-ems-vcs3- ... mulations/

I have tried out #2 and #4, both are quite heavy on the old CPU for my system ( I am running Windows 8.1 Pro (32bit) / ASIO4ALL v2.10 / 2Gb Ram (yes very low ram) / Intel Dual CPU E2160 / @1,8Ghz)

I like the look of #5 but don't understand the grid on the lower part of the GUI :?

My question is, out of the others on the page, can anyone recommend any of the others ?
I do like the KX one, but I cant find a way to reduce CPU useage on it.
:tu: All is good

Why not take the Xils 3 LE V2 for only 4 euros? Beware ! Only until the 1st November!

It's really a bargain, really!

For 4 euros, it's really something to not miss, even if after one's not enthralled (4€ is not 40€)

eidenk wrote:OK, it's time I finally post this huge list of mine in CSV format, 12537 entries listing all the freebies and magware I have. It's best viewed and searched in TablePro so I bundled the last free beta of that program with it, just run the exe and load the database, not sure if it works with Vista, 7, 8 or 10 however. Win32 plugs only btw and no VST3 either.

:D nice one! i don't know too much about CSV vs XML etc. but would it not be possible
with this to make some sort of browser - similar to bob's, which has direct links -
i haven't had a chance to open it, just dl'ing, but someone with a taste for makng webpages
and a lot of spare time could produce an easy-to -browse reference from this.

his latest plugin is really good, but i have the same CPu problem, even with 4gb.
KX is using very latest SE version, contributing to debugging etc.

i ended up sampling it to get more than one sound, couldn't handle more than 1 instance.

Well, TablePro can launch urls, open folders and execute files so if you add some columns to the database you could make yourself a handy frontend for your collection. My own personal database has the latter two but I have stripped them away for that download version as paths are specific to my system and of no use to anyone else. TablePro can also export data (everything or search results) in many formats, html being one of them.
