Nice. Ain't got K5, but for the price it might be worth it for samples alone. Too bad the waveforms are Kontakt compressed. Anyone knows, if K4 will open samples packaged by K5...
ESQ1, I thought it was a kind of sampler, sampled waveform based synth.... never mind.

Just noticed from your signature, you are from Atlanta.I would love to go on the Walking Dead tours they have there-I'm a Zombie nutjob (as you can probably tell from some of my preset names)since Romero's Dawn of the dead.
I don't think K4 will be able to load the samples in...get K5 it's great ***EDIT looks like it can, see Evil Dragons comment*****Zombie Queen wrote:Nice. Most of the sounds are from Polymoog, farfisa Polychrome, CS20m and Korg DSS-1(Harmonic waveform creation) plugged into the resonator section and filter of the Polymoog 203a and an SQl plus(not esq 1) also makes an appearance( I did have an esq 1, but sold it ages ago).
Cheers
Some audio demos.

NCW format didn't change between K4 and K5. NKI did. So, K4 can load K5 NCW samples.

Mini Magic 001 will always be £5
Cheers.
Hi Gosh,Gosh wrote:purchased!! am i right in assuming that not eclectic electric but 8 oblique s really is mini magic 001?
cheers and love your products stephen
thanks, glad you like them.
8 OBLIQUE S is more geared towards the Boards of Canada/lo-fi sound with two screen GUI etc and the Mini Magic range are single GUI interfaces which include the results of my late night sessions plugging synths into each other and experimenting to see what comes out. The Mini Magic range are hopefully appealing to everyone, and especially to those who are on a tight budget and would like some new sounds to play with.
The Mini Magic range(to keep the price at £5) will be single page interfaces forever and the 8 Oblique S range will evolve from 2 page interfaces to include new gui pages/features etc.
Thanks. yes, I had to get a new site because the old site was getting a bit harder to navigate with each new product added to it - The new site was designed/created by saintjohnbaxter.valerian_777 wrote:New Site? Great work just like the new synth.

That's good to know, I thought NI had locked everything down to each version of Kontakt, based on trying to paste samples I had mapped into K5 into K4 only to get a message of ' new version of Kontakt was used...etc'.EvilDragon wrote:NCW format didn't change between K4 and K5. Got half way through listening to the demo, purchased it, not even a thought. Between this and Xils 3 LE, I have wonderful cheap analog sounds to keep me busy for quite a while.

Thanks. I'm making a sequencer for it at the moment that will add some more weirdness to it.Gosh wrote:hi steve,

Thanks, I really want to evolve 8 Oblique S into something that is wonderfully eccentric like the guy in the video below. My favorite line is @03:43 ish 'now that's more like a vacuum cleaner but it still does not have that whirly mustache sound that I particularly want'.djshire wrote:Got half way through listening to the demo, purchased it, not even a thought.
