Hi , i have a little feature request for this superb Eq, do you think adding Q knobs on eachs bands with small range to not change the caractere much but for fine tuning would be a nice addition ? i often miss a little Q control when using it, maybe it would be a great feature ? something like that would be possible ? i was thinking a small knob under eachs bands that we grabe with the mouse moving it up or down for little Q control , not much so it s very precise.

Also a ceiling feature for the autogain could be usefull :)

Thanks i use your plugins everyday , really enjoy using them .

the ceiling feature could be usefull on the makeup gain of the compressor (never use the make up gain on it so maybe it's a "inteligent"make up gain and this feature would be useless :) ) but otherwise it would be nice , cause tweaking attack and release we are often too much influenced by loudness. with a ceiling on the eq and comp, we could get the best sound for a desired peak value i think it could be usefull.

About Q, SlickEQ uses proportional Q, or in other words, gain dependent Q. The idea to avoid 3 extra knobs (thanks to proportional Q mechanisms) are an essential part of the concept.

While maximum flexibility is a noble goal, we intentionally decided to focus usability instead. However, keep an eye on our announcements, we're currently reworking Vlad's NOVA (available for free as part of the KVRDC2014). This one is basically a very flexible, yet great sounding equalizer. I can't tell much for now, but make sure to try out the original NOVA to get a (rough) idea of the things to come.

Auto-gain for a dynamics devices is something totally different than EQ auto-gain. To my knowledge, no manufacturer/developer managed to nail compression auto-gain so far. But same as above, watch our news. We're about to release some exciting stuff very soon (more details in the compressor roadmap thread). :)

Fabien as louder often sound better , a ceiling would maybe useful on a compressor, so once the ceiling is calibrated to the max desired peak value, one can find the best settings ( probably the one that sound the loudest acording to envelop/effect after.... ) not sure if something like this would lead to better mix (probably worst for someone that is not much experienced with compression ) and not sure it make sense.. basically the output would need "to adjust itself "to keep the desired output max peak value . this would maybe easier to implement than a equal loudness make up gain , and wich one would be better for today needs i don't know anyway .

On SlickEQ autogain it could be usefull too ,so auto gain never peak higher than a desired max peak value.this will lead to different equing that one would have never tried wihtout this and it's always intresting to develop a better skill in equing.

About nova eq great i will check it out and waiting for the exciting new stuff coming out :)
