I'm gonna bump this- I know it starts really sparse but a few people elsewhere have liked it so might be worth a minute or so if you are interested in ambient style music, choral music and field recordings. The first thing I made using the new sandman delay - even if my track is not that great, this delay is excellent and worth a look http://www.unfilteredaudio.com/sandman.html

Great. I liked the choral sounds, which gave the piece an ethereal, ghostly quality. The contrast with the "immediate" and upfront effect of the field recordings was very effective. The sound quality of the field recording was excellent.

Good work :)

Good work Woggle,
It takes a certain amount of discipline and guts to produce such a track especially in today's world where the majority of music has to unfold immediately.
I was tempted to skip the first minute or so but I am sure that would have defeated the whole object.

Would certainly suit a computer game.
I could still hear it in my head a few minutes after I listened to it which is unusual. :)

thanks for the kind and interesting comments seismic and kurodo - the field recording was done with an old sony minidisc and some small mics . Those Sony's were extremely good recorders

Was able to sort of hear this last night: an earbud playing this in my good ear competing with two eleven year olds playing a video game...not ideal, but I heard it well enough to know I liked it and should try to hear it in better listening circumstances. Thanks.

I´m glad I listened to this in its entirety. And just like others, I am glad you don´t succumb to the trend of watering down your ideas to "get to the point quicker".

Very spooky, very good work!
