There's many synths in that record....which one?

The lead sounds like it has a nice hard sync placed on it. Pulse 50% with on octave high resync (doing this with a MUX wave table for the record). Then pick a sweet spot with he envelope around 50% and a starting point on the above 0 (mine is around 73%). That will get you the high "Hard sync" sound.
The bass part can be near replicated by doing a similar process but with a saw wave instead of a pulse. Over drive the saw wave a tad and bring it down an octave.
