Hmmm I've tried it in two different DAW's and it loads up fine in each however it seems to of taken the name of the track, rather than the name I assigned it, what DAW are you in? As I may be able to send you a project file insteadCaine123 wrote:thanks so much , is the midi file working? couldnt load itTet-64 wrote:Thanks Guys

I don't really listen to this sort of music, but I just had to say that is bloody well done man.tehlord wrote:Short little 'full track demo'
Simple lead line, crunchy mid bass, easy sub bass and an arpeggiated acid line.
I'm most impressed with the distorted acid you can get out of Hive so far. VERY nice

Some more great patches in this thread as well. Seems that Hive is gonna be very popular methinks, and deservedly so.
I'm really liking this synth more and more. So many sweetspots it's ridiculous. A few random suggestions (not that they're that important):
-option for each OSC/Filter/Amp to bypass the sequencer via some simple toggle switches. Then you could have a sequenced little melody and a pad playing with one patch for example. If you can already do this, apologies.
-gain knob for distortion
-EQs: Actual frequencies shown as opposed to the usual 0-100. Use my ears, yes yes, but it will be quicker using my eyes as well.
As I said, not too bothered about the above suggestions. I think Hive has achieved what it meant to achieve.

Observation: when trying to isolate the entire left circuit from the right circuit, or vice-versa, I found that soloing a filter doesn't necessarily enable all the modulations assigned to that circuit. I've been wondering if Muting Filter output at least wouldn't be a useful feature. It would have to Mute even if the filters selection is "Bypass" for this purpose.

First impression, is that this feels like a finished product
Easy installation and activation. Loads up fast in FL Studio, CPU usage is medium, not a hog.
GUI size is just fine. But as a right click on the mouse brings up alternatives how to change this, there are nevertheless options to change the resolution if needed.
The only thing I can point my finger at straight away is that there are too few options in TimeBase for the clock in the Arp & Seq, more is needed than just four.

Hey yo! I put both OSC to 16 Unisono, together with both sub OSC, and now the whole house is shaking and I have to calm down the neighbors!
Seriously, Hive makes my heart dance, but what I miss is something extraordinary - or geeky? -, especially loads of other waveforms or the ability to load custom ones. Or (custom) wavetables...
The modulation matrix is sophisticated, as is the sequencer and arpeggiator (but who still uses them, in times of plugins like Nora 2, Kirnu Cream and BlueArp?).
Unfortunately, the waveforms and filter types are the usual suspects, would be nice to have something extraordinary, formant (vocal) or comb filters at least or a Moog filter or whatever...
Like a great meal, it needs some special spices!

On some of the .h2p files I have downloaded from the thread Mac Os puts a .txt on them. Hive doesn't recognise them even if I append the .txt from the file. Any idea?

I think just renaming them to "*.h2p" should work.woodsdenis wrote:On some of the .h2p files I have downloaded from the thread Mac Os puts a .txt on them. Hive doesn't recognise them even if I append the .txt from the file. Any idea?

I found out how to do it, right click on link and "save file as" gives you the option not to append the .txt.Breeze wrote:I think just renaming them to "*.h2p" should work.woodsdenis wrote:On some of the .h2p files I have downloaded from the thread Mac Os puts a .txt on them. Simply changing it to.h2p didn't work.

For a minute, I was afraid my coupon had expired 12 days after I had received it (Nov. 16th). OK, after I checked my coupon code email, I see it expires December 31st, which is 12 days after the 19th.Urs wrote:Most coupons expire in 12 days. Some coupons that were sent out in December will expire one month after they were sent out.chk071 wrote:Btw, how long will the coupon code be valid then? I need some time to test Hive.
