The default skin we'd prefer to keep as is, but it is all customizable now since 2.2, so shouldn't be a problem :) If you want to do it yourself, you could simply open the knob image and paint something into the middle frame (for the default knob, that would be frame #32).

No, I don't want to do it myself, why would I do your job? 8) I am a wannabe-musician, not a designer

Never mind, though, if you think my suggestions would not benefit every user. I am more inclined to get Hive now, anyway 8)

I think it's a good suggestion, but some people really like the default skin. If we change it, someone else will complain.

Since we have skin support now, it would be better to just to make a new alternate skin. That was the whole idea of skin support to begin with, because there's no single skin that will please everyone :)

You're the only person to mention it, so i doubt you will see any changes from the dev.

If you asked someone, im sure they could easily make the changes for you in the knob (or a new one)

There's only one aspect of hive that is similar to dune2.

Both currently have a demo. Use them.

The - for me key - thing they have in common is the sound character, both sound modern and finished, unlike analog emulations. And both have voice stacking and a complete effect section. Dune seems to have more features, like those MSEG's and basically 8 parallel synth lines instead of two. But since I need neither, the rest seems similar to me. I have tested the Dune demo for about a week before uninstalling it, and I have had the Hive demo as well since Saturday, so my impression IS based on actually using both.

Does the skin system allow to reduce the UI size? I'm testing again the demo and I'm having problems with Dune's size in my laptop
