PSP Vintagewarmer is less expensive now due to the sale.
You should check it out.

CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

Less expensive then PSP? Check Voxengo like the VariSat or Toneboosters with Ferox or Reelbus. Klanghelm with SDRR also. Visit Stillwell site too: The plugins are top-notch after all the years and very cheap!

Thanks for the suggestions. Crimson, I was not able to get onto digital fishphones. Valerian, I have the free version of SDRR and like it a lot. There's no demo for the SDRR, the Klanghem site says if you like IVGI you'll love SDRR...Klanghelm only accepts Paypal and I don't have access at the moment....if anyone can describe the extra features I would appreciate it.
Nighthwak, it looks like the cheapest I can get Vintagewarmer is $121. I will probably do it if I continue to feel an unbearable emptiness inside...meanwhile I am going to try experimenting with my torment.

Strange, the site loads fine here.Trevor Jackson wrote:Crimson, I was not able to get onto digital fishphones.
Alternatively get it here: http://www.vstplanet.com/Effects/Dynamic.htm
Or simply google 'endorphin vst download' to find more sites that host it. It's pretty widely available

Futuremusic voted PSP Vintagewarmer one of the best plugins of the decade (number 2).Trevor Jackson wrote:Any suggestions appreciated.
Alternatives are likely to be only second rate.
It was half price recently and is on sale fairly often.
Really no need to find a replacement.

PSP Vintagewarmer is my favorite vintage "soundgoodizer" effect out of the ones I've tried. I do think it's worth it.

You see the Abbey Road J37 and Kramer Tape often on sale for under $100 so keep an eye out for that.
There's also NAMM coming up so maybe there may be something else on offer after then.
