Probably a lot of thought was put into M1 patches as it had quite a limited memory.
There are no alternatives for M1 and Wavestation really. Love them both.

Vintage Synth Pads was making a whole bunch of new presets for the Korg M1: http://www.kvraudio.com/news/vsp-launch ... g-m1-25179
I am not sure if you can still get in on the subscription -- I do not see it on the VSP web site anymore.

The M1 drum kits were all over the place. Even EWF used it.arkmabat wrote:Yeah, sometimes I get thinking that 80s artists were designing their own electronic drums (and some were) but many were just triggering a keyboard's preset drum samples. I want to say the Emax was popular for rap and early industrial drums.

The Mighty Tempts used the very first preset "Universe" on this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASq6oUmOgUo
Not forgetting that the M1 was a huge part of the New Jack Swing. And then there was the Seinfeld theme.
