Hi my KVR friends
Glad to announce i've just released the Neutron Synthesizer for Kontakt 5.3. 276 great patches of which 140 are pad sounds. The arpeggiator has been complemented with a random arpeggio generator.
Neutron Info:
The Neutron Pad Synthesizer is the third and last in a series of three inspiring Kontakt 5 instruments, the so called ‘Blue Orb Series’. Neutron is a dual oscillator synthesizer intended to make atmospheric and lush pad sounds. But don’t be fooled by it’s name. Also bass, synths, strings and other types of sounds are possible with this versatile synthesizer.
There are 60 different waveforms to choose from, 30 per oscillator. Each OSC has 3 envelope generators.(Amplifier, Filter and Pitch) and 3 different filters, (Low Pass, High Pass and Band Pass). There are 2 Low Frequency Oscillators (LFO’s), a Pitch LFO and a Filter LFO with a choice between 4 different waveforms (Sine, Saw, Square & Random), or the LFO can be switched off. Both LFO’s can be used at the same time. The sounds can be modulated via Velocity, Aftertouch, Key Follow and the Modulation wheel. And to top this all off, you have a choice between 8 different FX (Digital Reverb, Digital Delay, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Compressor, 2-Band EQ, Skreamer distortion) and an Arpeggiator with an integrated arp pattern generator.
Neutron already comes with a big selection of sounds for you to play with (200 instruments and 76 multis) of which 140 are pad sounds and 32 are ambient and FX sounds. The big amount of controls encourages you to make your own. The possibillities are endless. Be ready to enter the world of Neutron. You won't regret it.

I would love to get this, but this is not to my liking:
Can the effect be turned off?
I got a problem with flashing lights, gives me a headacheCL-Projects wrote:The Blue Orb fluctuates and changes in color when keys are pressed

@Ridan, Thanks for liking the demos. I'm sure you will like the synth too.
@Numanoid. The effect can't be turned off but the effect is very subtle and it sure isn't annoying. I saw you also bought the Saffron Bass Synthesizer and this effect is exactly the same in Neutron.

OK, thanks for confirming.CL-Projects wrote:I saw you also bought the Saffron Bass Synthesizer and this effect is exactly the same in Neutron.
Even subtle, I got a problem with flickering lights, and when playing with Saffron I usually minimize the GUI to avoid seeing it.
It sounds great, but not being able to look at the GUI is of course not optimal.

Sorry to hear that Numanoid. I will think about it for future libraries.Numanoid wrote:Even subtle, I got a problem with flickering lights, and when playing with Saffron I usually minimize the GUI to avoid seeing it.

I adressed the issue that Numanoid talked about in this thread. Namely to switch the Blue Orb animation off. There isn't a switch but i edited the resource files for the three Blue Orb synthesizers. Just replace the *.nkr and *.nkc files that are in the 'Samples' folder from the appropriate library.
So for the ones who don't want the Blue Orb animation, here's the solution.
For Saffron: https://mega.co.nz/#!pwZ0iZAA!y583LExXy ... T-T-mihHdY
For Triode: https://mega.co.nz/#!wkpRWLYb!6AMHTdnns ... jlY5YIHWAk
For Neutron: https://mega.co.nz/#!dlZw3Y5L!-Ssjcig-E ... snI3vCjaug
Best regards

Thanks alot for the help
Saffron is much easier on the eyes now. Couldn't resist to get Neutron too. It's most def a no brainer, low price, filled with quality.
Apart from the sounds, the arp is my favourite, advanced, and the random button is great for instant inspiration.
But I get a bit of a high CPU load, any tips for how I can get it down? Using the arp I guess mono mode is the best option?
Edit: Turning off the effects seems to be the best option to lower the CPU load.

I think the best thing you can do is to deactivate functions you don't really need in your operating system like things that run in the background like the system tray apps. Especially when using your computer for audio purposes. Also the graphic settings can be changed to get better performance.
I wouldn't change anything in the patches since the effects are part of the finished sound.

The patches are nice, but I like to tweak 'emCL-Projects wrote:I wouldn't change anything in the patches since the effects are part of the finished sound.
My system isn't top of the line, i3 processor with 4GB RAM.
I don't think users with more up to date set-ups will have a problem with the CPU hit.

Like i said on my site i also recommend people to edit or make their own sounds. That's why all the controls are there for. So i hope you will have fun creating your own sounds.Numanoid wrote:The patches are nice, but I like to tweak 'emCL-Projects wrote:I wouldn't change anything in the patches since the effects are part of the finished sound.
