This is easy to prove:
Fire up your stock Zebra 2, and punch up 'HS Opposync' under '2 - Leaders.'
Turn up your sound system really, really loud. I mean really loud.
In a large mixing bowl, add equal portions of Eddie Jobson, Larry Fast, Tommy Mars - with generous additions of Keith Emerson and more than a few sprinkles of Herbie Hancock and anything else you may have in your cupboard.
Let rise to cooking perfection - with generous helpings of 5-7 octave traversal 'wailing,' at least 5 different 'modes'.. playing 'outside' in appropriate and intentionally inappropriate manners also...use judicious finger glisses for varied-sized shaped-portamentos too - and cooking until steamy hot.
Then let cool.
2 single-OSC's. Only the minimally necessary modules (as usual), chiselled and shaped to perfection.
Absolutely brilliantly crafted patch (among many)!

I've auditioned and played a lot of patches over the years. Howard is my favorite.

True. He's a master of efficiency. What also helps is that his patches are made with players in mind (rather than mouse jockeys), which is something I always appreciate.

Put down the bong and step away from the keyboard.DynaMoHum wrote:In a large mixing bowl, add equal portions of Eddie Jobson, Larry Fast, Tommy Mars - with generous additions of Keith Emerson and more than a few sprinkles of Herbie Hancock and anything else you may have in your cupboard.

It was intended as a joke and a compliment. Given the open source and community-sharing based nature of patches in this forum and the archive, and the constant exchange of ideas (of which I am very much involved in and want to encourage) I figured the redundancy of the comment would be funny.
