I'm currently working on a new version of Redux that will hopefully make the process less tedious. I've added the truncated labels bug to my todo list ;)
Good news about the OSC / MSEG tabs! I thought I was being dense and missed something. It's a small thing compared to the improved overall workflow. :) I look forward to the new version.

Thanks for considering truncated labels as well drzhnn. I appreciate it.

You are welcome :)

And here's a little sneak peek of what's coming your way. It's still a WIP :)

Hmmm. Personally I'm not sure I like this layout as much as current Redux one. But, it's subjective of course.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But since it's not an official Zebra theme, we are free to experiment and test different foolish ideas at any time, without hurting anybody. We can see if there's anything good in this new layout and then move some features to original Redux. Or we can have this new layout as a revamped Mini version of Redux :)

For me and my workflow this would be AWESOME!
It's all there and ready to be tweaked, and with this awesome graphics design! So delicious to twist those knobs!
Only one thing, can you use the new mapping system of Hive with this layout? I mean, if you need to drag and drop to a destination how do you do that if this is not in the same page?
God save the Groove!

The new layout has only 2 pages: SYNTH and LIBRARY. On the SYNTH page you have access to all possible mod destinations. Modulators (Matrix and XY controls) are always visible as well, they are on the left side beneath the XY pad. So you don't need to switch pages while designing a patch. It's all there. The OSCs and MSEGs editors will pop up as an overlay panels on top of the window. I haven't yet fully implemented this but it will be something like this:

The LIBRARY page looks like this:

I'd like to suggest something for Diva filters in ZHZ...

One thing I dislike about it is that they are tabbed between each other. Why shouldn't they have a pane for each of the 4 Diva filters, like regular VCFs and XMFs have?

Post

I like it..
just one question - why filter tabs are shown ? - FL1 2 3 4 when theres no filter in the Modular Matrix?

Post

That's how it is in ZHZ, too. Don't quite like that design. They should've made it as individual panes per filter on the left side of the GUI. Just MHO.

It was the first thing I tried to do when I got ZHZ :) But then I found out that racks are limited to only 30 units. Everything after #30 will be always visible in the rack, even if it's not in use. Zebra has 28 mudules, ZebraHZ adds the Diva filters, which are 4 HP filters and 4 LP filters. This is 8 extra units. 28 + 8 = 36... And this is the problem :?

Feck!

Sounds like something that should be fixed in the code for a future Zebra update. Urs? :)

I like the idea of filter "bookmarks" (save space, and keep you for searching stuff - i like the IU to be stable a bit, so i dont have to think where something is right now - just change the parameter) but it would make sense to hide those who are inactive or dont apear at all in Modular Matrix.

This design is more more flexible and time-saving then regular zebra one (for me)

I also did something to the Arp module :)

I am linking where this is going, more gearporn and less tabbing is most welcome. :)

Yay! I suppose you changed arp transpose parameters from 'Display' to something else?
