Just spent a very interesting 54 minutes listening to an interview with Howard Scarr recorded in 2010 where he "talks about his recent work with Hans Zimmer and programming for the Access Virus, Roland V-Synth, Waldorf, U-He Zebra2."
It's very interesting to hear about Howard's approach to sound design and what it's like working with composers and orchestras.
I'm surprised that this hasn't been posted in the forum before. You can listen to it here, or download it and listen later:

Fascinating, this must be one of the last recordings of Howard actually talking. It's a little known fact but Howard now communicates entirely by means of u-he presets. Urs even had to write a translation programme so he could post at KvR. Here's an example of his latest utterances, translated of course:
HS Bars Attacks.h2p - 2 pints of bitter and a packet of scratchings please
HS Cheese No Ham.h2p - can I have a sandwich?
HS Fox Numana A.h2p - get your coat luv plan A
HS Fox Numana B.h2p - get your coat luv plan B
HS Neanderthal Bass.h2p - the last resort (if plan A and B fail)
HS Boingo.h2p - censored
HS Banana Zorch.h2p - also censored
HS Hidden Bonanza.h2p - I just made another gazillion presets
HS Mostly Harmless.h2p - hi Urs
HS Prime Minister.h2p - you bastard!
HS Spraypad.h2p - I need the loo fast!
HS Sprinkler - complex.h2p - trying to wee (after several pints)
HS Sprinkler - degrade.h2p - oops, was that your trouser leg?
HS Xmas 2015.h2p - mine's a bottle of malt whisky

Is that why there are wet/dry controls? For creating wet patches?aMUSEd wrote:Yes - Howard to pee

If I open U-he synths, the first presets I go to are Howard Scarrs.
They are very organic to play. I enjoy and use them a lot.
In fact if you use the Modewheel with a lot of his Bass/Leadsounds it is indeed like talking.

I dont know if this is the right Thread, but since I'm wrapping my head about a HS Preset in the DIVA, I thought why not ask here:
Can any Diva User tell me, why the Arppegiator in the HS All Processors Preset in the Rythmic Folder doesn't respond to changing the quantisation or the multiply knob?
Or is it just mine, or am I just to stupid to see the obvious?
Please!!!

It's because arpeggiator is not used at all. Processors are used instead (Modifications tab) - hence the name of the preset!

Mmmh, so that explains why turning the Arp on doesn't change anything either?!
Well thanks, I thought I missing the obvious!
