In my opinion it is Charlatans beauty that it is great at sounds it can do and that it is limited in what it can do.
Kind of like the real MiniMoog is - you can't do much with it, but the basses and leads... almost nothing can touch it.

yeah, it can't do everything... but what it can it does very well

I love Charlatan but it still desperately needs an internal patch manager.

It is not a secret that Charlatan is out favorite free synthesizer plugin and we are very happy with this new update!

After playing with it for a while in Bitwig Studio, we ended up with the following track, featuring 9 instances of Charlatan for all sounds, except the kick. We are working on a little (free) soundbank for it, which we hope to be able to release soon.

Charlatanism 2 is a collection of 96 FREE presets for Charlatan 2 VSTi by BlauKraut Engineering. This collection focus mostly on Leads, Pads/Polysynths and strange FX sounds, with a little run into basses and unusual percussion sounds.

After hearing a lot of amazing things about this synth from various places online, as well as on here, I downloaded it and installed the 64 bit version..loaded it in my DAW, but there are no presets showing..all the preset slots in the drop-down menu show "empty" even though the factory presets are showing up in the presets folder in the synth's root dir.

Can anyone please let me know how to get this synth up and running correctly?

When on BandCamp press the Buy Now button and enter a price as 0 (zero).

In that download you'll find the presets + Sound demos and other relevant stuff.

Yes. I created this dropbox alternative because I have forgot that Bandcamp only gives 200 free downloads per month.
