This is a low priority project that is fully functional now but will be worked on more as time permits. It's a free plugin that simulates the Doppler effect. The idea is to have a plugin that can take a constant car engine sound or something, and make it seem like the car speeds past you. Not just past you but it could do a circle near you, or accelerate then slow down.

Minor Updates including midi note on messages sent to the plugin can reset the path so it starts when you want. Mac version added see below.
It can be adjusted to have different levels for pan, volume, and pitch effects, so it can make the equivalent of a chorus, panner, tremolo, vibrato, etc, but with a totally flexible LFO. The path has various controls, and the curves use a variable (t) for the point in time, meaning the path can slow down or speed up based on the effect of the control points.
I thought I would just start with a thread here, you're welcome to give suggestions on the ideas here, since I can't always predict how users will use this unique product. And of course I'm also hoping to identify any early bugs and that sort of thing. You can always get a message to me here :

So here are some possible things that may need work.
By nature this is simulating sound that takes time to get to you, higher pitch scales will probably produce noticeable latency, it's not yes established how this will be reported/compensated.
Users probably won't understand what to do with the plugin at first, the below infographic may help but a visual intuitive indication of distance, listening point, other points, and so on might be nice,
it's hard to say how the average user will use this and set up the path, midi support for resetting path position or something might help. More ease of use features would be good, I have put them in most projects.
Expansion into special cases - you could probably make some kind of rotary speaker (2 horns) using 2 tracks and 2 instances of the plugin for example, but it has been considered to make this kind of thing build in some how. It's almost limitless how much control you could have so this kind of thing is more of a distant possibility.

It's a really nice plugin! It would be awesome if you could include a low-pass filter and MIDI triggering for the envelope.

Very nice idea
Very promising in Post-production, combined with Proximity for distance.
That said, there is a real downside or this kind of usage.
The position of the object (green spot) cannot be automised.
In REAPER, I only see Wet/dry, Bypass and Blend for automation.
What I would like is a position slider that support automation, for those who don't want to use LFO.
Thanks for you work !
(and yes, please consider make a video ! )

Low pass or other tonal effect is a good idea, I just added the midi note resetting the envelope feature. It would be awesome if you could include a low-pass filter and MIDI triggering for the envelope.
Maybe that will be added, I wanted to focus on the internal automation for now. What I would like is a position slider that support automation

Mac is available Will download and try well, curious to see how it works. The description reminds me a bit of the doppler effect that was available in E-mu samplers (although that was an offline process). Never quite found a replacement in the software world.

Seems really cool, and unique. I'll give this a whirl the first free chance I get and report back.
A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.
