technicality: midi echo

Alright, this is possibly a bit weird, but I have an odd problem:
The midi keyboard I have connects via USB to the alternative computer I'm running MuLab on, but it also has a midi out, which I would like to hook to my main machine (which cannot handle the usb power).
The manual says that this only works, if your sequencer/daw is set to use a midi echo. I'm mildly confused by that... does anyone have any idea or advice?

I say just give it a go, it might just be their way of confusing people, it cant do any harm to try.

Whaha, thanks, bibz, I'm totally rogue on these things...pretty unafraid that stuff blows up in my face, haha.
BUT JUST NOW I tried the right thing, as wacky as that is, HA!
I had to change the target of the track to the Akai mpk88, used it's separate midi out (2) and it totally works! Yay!
Guess that is a little garage style, but I'm happy!
