He gave all his modules away for free recently and now this, I bought Synthedit in decemberSyntilla wrote:In the VST world, legends don't come much more legendary than David Haupt. His modules have graced some (most?) of the most iconic synths of the digital era, and his co-authored SE book has been the launch-pad for many a developer - pro and dabbler alike (we salute you, one and all!).
But anyone visiting his domain since around January will have been greeted with either the dreaded '404' or the following message:
"The DE Haupt SynthEdit Web site has become outdated, and is no longer available.
Many thanks to all who have supported it over the years! "
All is not lost, though - the site has been well archived on WayBack:

The modules themselves have long been set free, and will remain an essential resource for as long as musicians continue to use 32-bit (and I don't think there are many browsing this thread who are in any great rush to change).
And his demo VSTIs (in case you thought I was going too OT) have an old-time charm all their own.
Be absolutely sure to download his MatrixPak:

Not only is it behind some of my all time favourite synths (I can't resist an EMS-style matrix!), but also the .zip contains the irresistible (if somewhat prosaically named) DH_MatrixDemo - you really don't want to miss it!
and went to his website and downloaded all the downloads and the key file and backed
it up but now if I lost these files I can't get them back, your wayback link is from 2012 and
he gave all away in 2014. All is lost.
